100% Carbon neutral.
Opus Bilprovning PAS 2060 compliant.
We are making a flying start to the new year by presenting yet another step on our way to becoming as green as we can be. Opus Bilprovning now meets the stringent demands set by the PAS 2060:2014 standard. As far as we know, Opus Bilprovning is the first company in Sweden to measure up to this high international standard for carbon neutrality. We are already the only Swedish vehicle inspection company whose operations are 100 per cent carbon offset.
PAS 2060:2014 is an objective, detailed regulatory framework which aims to achieve sustainable carbon neutrality. Requirements include the continuous reduction of emissions. At least 99 per cent of all operations must be reported, and carbon offsets must be through verifiable emission allowances (CO2e). These stringent requirements have been established to avoid what is known as greenwashing – i.e. when a company dishonestly portrays itself as being green instead of taking its environmental responsibilities seriously.
The average inspection at Opus Bilprovning emits 9.22 kg of CO2e, which may appear to be a small amount, but considering we carry out around 1.7 million inspections annually, we can make a big difference together with our customers.
