Since mandatory emission testing legislation first passed in 2008, Sri Lanka has been maintaining static ambient air quality levels despite an increase in the nation’s vehicle population. Not only is testing credited with helping to maintain clean skies, inspection time has offered an effective venue for educating motorists.
