Opus has just opened its first vehicle inspection station in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city. In one way, it’s like closing the circle.
While Opus was founded in Gothenburg and has its head office there, it has not previously had a vehicle inspection station in the city. With this new addition, the nationwide Swedish network now comprises 87 stations.
The new inspection station, located at Ovädersgatan 2, enjoys a very good, accessible location on Hisingen, right next to Hisingsleden highway and the Lundby tunnel. It handles passenger cars, motorcycles and light trucks up to 3,500 kg.
In addition to regular inspections and customized services for companies in Gothenburg, it also offers drive-in vehicle tests and the opportunity to drop off your vehicle at the station for pick-up later when the inspection is complete.
“The new station is strategically important from a purely commercial standpoint, and a nationwide chain must naturally have a presence in the country’s second largest city. And it’s pretty gratifying that our hometown of Gothenburg is getting its first station,” comments Magnus Greko, VP Strategic Business Development and one of the company’s founders.”
What’s more, there’s an additional station in the pipeline for Gothenburg during 2017, this time at the other end of town, in Angered.
