Emission testing in Australia
30 popular cars will be tested.
The Australian Automobile Association, which represents 7 million motorists down under, has allocated $500,000 to perform real-world emission tests on 30 popular cars. The organization plans to use bulky in-vehicle testing instrumentation to measure vehicles, as they are driven, similar to the equipment and methodology used by the American university that detected the Volkswagen cheating software.
